I’m honoured to have been awarded one of four writing residencies for 2017 by the Fellowship of Australian Writers (Western Australia), co-funded by FAWWA and the Copyright Agency Cultural Fund.
FAWWA recently announced the outcome of the 2017 CAL Writer in Residence program (see the FAWWA homepage). I was awarded Established Writer in Residence, and Emerging Writer Residencies were awarded to Sarah Drummond, Brendan Ritchie and Mindy Gill.
Each of us will spend a one-month paid residency at FAWWA’s Mattie Furphy House during the second half of 2017. We’ll each be conducting a number of workshops for FAWWA members and the community, and hosting an event or two at FAWWA, as well as working on our own current writing project. Brendan Ritchie is kicking off the 2017 residency season, and is in residence from now through until 23 July.
I’ll be in residence at Mattie Furphy House from 14 September to 15 October. I’m working with FAWWA to schedule workshops and other events, so keep an eye on Twitter or Facebook for details, or follow (or better still join!) FAWWA for news.
