‘Tracy Farr, inaugural Mildura Writer in Residence’ interview

In Mildura Living Magazine‘s Winter 2016 issue, Rebecca Butterworth’s interview with Tracy Farr touches on food, writing, family history, and inspiration from landscape and people.

…the striking intimacy and sense of community of the festival itself; delightful and surprising resonances, and support not just from everyone there for the weekend of the festival, but from the Mildura arts and wider community over the whole month…

The article touches on The Hope Fault, Tracy’s second novel, due out in March 2017.

Her second novel…was completed during her stay in Mildura. It is the story of a broken family coming together over a long weekend to sell a family holiday home. Tracy said that even though the book was largely complete before her stay, the region did have a big influence on her writing, and in ways she didn’t expect.
